The Spiral Dunk

A warm, whimsical bakehouse rooted in craft and comfort.

For this chimney-cake café in Kandivali West, we created an interior that feels equal parts nostalgic and fresh — a space where soft pastels, warm wood, and hand-finished details come together to echo the slow, spiral joy of a traditional Kürtőskalács.

The vertical teal-framed tiles bring in a playful rhythm reminiscent of rising dough, while the coral accents add a gentle burst of sweetness. The dado grid wall, custom rolling-pin rack, and curved signage nod to the craft at the heart of the brand. Soft lighting, a creamy countertop, and muted flooring wrap everything in an inviting glow, making the space feel cozy even on the busiest evenings.

This project is a celebration of texture, colour, and the small rituals that turn baking into something memorable — creating a tiny pocket of warmth in the middle of Mumbai.
